Gateway Disc Sports GDS Deluxe Weekend Bag Posted 06-30-05 Submitted by AZ Matt Review: I have had my bag for about a year now. I find that I have out grown its capacity, not for disks but for extras... I play at least 3 times a week & the durability is disappointing, I have worn holes through-out. The disc rack/organizer is the biggest culprit. It wore a hole in the side within 3 months. It has served me well enough, but for the money, $65, I would try a different bag. Posted: 08-09-01 By Blake Takkunen - the Webmaster - <blake@discgolf.com> My Review: The GDS Deluxe Weekend Bag is a medium-large capacity bag. It has 1 external disc pocket and 2 open external storage pockets, 1 large zippered pocket, 1 small zippered pocket, an insulated drink holder, and a heavily-padded removable shoulder strap. It is made out of heavy material and internally houses a PVC/plastic frame that is a smaller version of the frame found in the Tour and Player bags. Plastic end pieces and 1 movable/removable plastic divider give discs good support for carrying and storage and should reduce warping. With the divider in place, the frame can hold 15 drivers or 13-14 discs if you have a mix of higher domed midrange/approach discs. If you remove the divider you should have room for 1 more disc. This bag is sturdy and has a very efficient use of space and should be a good size for most players. It is however, quite spendy at a retail of $55. I am impressed with the carrying capacity of this bag without it being a tank to carry like the larger gateway bags. Submit Your Review Back to Main Page |
