SkySouth Large Bag Posted: 11-29-01 By Blake Takkunen - the Webmaster - <blake@discgolf.com> My Review: The SkySouth Large Bag is a large capacity bag. It has plastic reinforcement plates for the bottom and sides with a plastic divider that can be attached or removed with velcro. Externally, it has a putter pocket, a medium-large pocket that is large enough to hold a disc, a medium sized external zippered pocket, and a drink holder. Internally there is a mini pocket and medium sized velcro pocket. The shoulder strap is adjustable and padded but is not removable so a dual strap system could not be used in its place. The strap also has a D ring to attach towels to. The zippered top can be secured back with velcro and should be able to double as an umbrella holder. As for carrying capacity, it can comfortably hold 19 drivers internally which should translate into 15-18 discs of various heights. It's maximum capacity with the external pockets should be in the 17-22 disc range. The material is water resistant and the stiching appears to be of very high quality. The internal reinforcements are a nice touch and the bag remains very light compared to some of the other large bags out there. The limitations of this bag is its lack of storage space. If you are the type that carries extra towels, shirts, etc., you probably won't find room for it here. I bought these as x-mas gifts so I'm not sure what the durability is like but I will try to update that as they age. My overall feelings are that this is a very nice bag for the price range ($30-45) and although it doesn't have all the features or extra storage of some of the more expensive bags, it definitely is a good bag for the money.
