Innova Champion Discatcher Sport Basket Posted 10-12-05 Submitted by Jonny Appleseed bboykin@cox.net Disc Weights: 170-175 Review: The Discatcher Sport is an excellent practice/temporary basket. Light enough to be portable (40lbs) but heavy enough to get the job done. The yellow powder coated chain assembly is a nice touch as well, providing some extended visibility. With 18 chains it catches okay. I went ahead and added 6x24" inner chains and the thing catches 100% better. A cheap modification that you really should do. It's much more like a pro basket with these extra chains. Awesome. I love this basket. Great price and well built. I don't leave mine out in the rain however. Over time these things will start to rust. I'm sure with care the Sport will last years and years. It's helped my putting game to a great degree. Plus it brings disc golf to my back yard which is great when I don't have time to head out to the course. Posted: 6-29-04 Submitted csiebert@multipro.com I recently purchased the Inova sport disccatcher. Assembly takes about 15 minutes. Construction is great. It is truely built to last. I beleive this piece of equipment will last a lifetime with a little paint every ten years. You will NOT wear it out or damage it with normal use. As for portability, it dis-assembles easily into 4 parts but it's still a bit bulky. At 40 lbs. it light enough to transport but still heavy enough to be absouloutly stable in use. I have friends who have the " cloth type " basket and the "M something" basket. They both intend to replace their current baskets with the " SPORT " since their current choices haven't held up very well. The " SPORT " does cost a few dollars more but the quality more than makes up for the small added expence. Submit Your Review Back to Main Page |
