The 2005 MSDGC DVD is definitely one of the best disc golf videos on the market. It features excellent footage of many top-level golfers (many of which have rarely been featured on video before) playing some very beautiful and technical courses. The format was similar to the 2004 MSDGC featuring 3 rounds of golf as well as mens and womens skins rounds, great drives, putts, and upshots, bloopers, "heartbreakers" (near misses), a putting contest, and player interviews. While the video and audio quality are a noticeable improvement from the 2004 MSDGC DVD, the footage itself is a slight downgrade as the frames generally cut the footwork off of the player's throws and many of the holes were "abridged" and did not show a lot of the approach attempts by players with errant drives (it isn't fair to compare this to the '04 DVD, but it's unavoidable). The strengths of this video over the '04 video are the upgraded player field that includes a very large group of long throwing pros and better flow that definitely increases entertainment and "watchability" value. The commentary on the '05 DVD is a definite step up while remaining humorous and loaded with buried wit. This video is a "must have" if you are a disc golf enthusiast and rates among the best videos on the market for its educational value.
