Player Reviews Posted 09-11-07 Submitted by Brian Disc Weights: ? Review: This disc was definitely "sticky", which is what it's made for. It either grips the chains or stays where it lands. But it was too "floppy" for my liking. It literally feels like a rubber band, only thicker of course. The problem is that the soft plastic absorbs too much energy sometimes. When you leave a putt just barely short, hitting the rim of the basket (not the side), it would tend to bounce back instead of carrying through like any other disc would. I gave up on it after this happened to me half a dozen times. The grippy plastic caused my release to be a little inconsistent too; almost too sticky. Also, the disc felt really unpredictable on windy days. I don't know what weight I was throwing, but it couldnt' have been less than 150g. It just didn't give me any confidence. The Blunt Gumbputt is like no other putter i have picked up, this thing hardly ever rolls when it hits the ground and goes very straight. it gives me a whole lot of confidence when putting knowing that it wont roll or skip a mile if i miss, whatever this thing hits will stop it on a dime, if you cant find the right putter i would give this a try, i will not putt with anything else since i picked it up Posted 08-06-05 Submitted by TS ak_whitebread@yahoo.com Location: Alaska Level: Advanced Am Avg Drive: 300-325 Disc Weights: 173 Review: BY FAR... this is the best putter that I have EVER used. Ive been playing for 3 yrs, and finally I have found a disc that makes my short game. I recommend this disc for anyone. I can put it in a straight line, hyzer put it, you name it, this disc will do it. Check it out! Posted: 6-05-03 Submitted by eschroer@wctc.net The disc is slightly overstable I putt with a slight Anhyser If putted hard it flies a straight line If the disc is damp it doesn't affect my grip My fingers don't get stuck under the rim of the disc ( this happens when I use some other putters) Submit Your Review Back to Main Page |
