Player Reviews Posted: 8-15-01 By Blake Takkunen - the Webmaster - <blake@discgolf.com> My Review: The Elite Z Xtra is a fast, very overstable driver. Discraft says it's slightly more overstable than the Elite Xtra and I agree. I could flatten out and sometimes turn over my old Elite Pro Xtra when I threw it hyzer, the Elite Z, however, will not. The Z version is slightly faster and with more "bite" than the original, making its fade more predictable but sacrificing a little glide with about the same amount of fade. I will say that I feel the Xtra is probably the best gliding driver I have thrown with this kind of overstability. As for the Z Xtra, I compare its speed, resistance to turn-over, and flight path to that of a max-weight EXP1 or KC Banshee but 50+ feet longer. The Elite Z Xtra will hold its line into a headwind and will also give very predictable hyzers, a great disc for someone looking for an overstable disc that can still carry. It should also perform well as a forehand driver. This disc will probably be a little too much to handle for beginners. Submit Your Review Back to Main Page |
