Player Reviews Posted 09-15-06 Submitted by mike ball Location: Garden City, Mi Level: Adv. Am Avg Drive: 300 Disc Weights: 172 Review: This disc straight up rules! Good for everything it says,Straight...turnover..roller. it's all good with this disc. I carry 2 at all times in my bag, used to different conditions.i recomend it...highly Posted: 8-28-03 Submitted by Steve Herbert The Stratus, in weights of 168-172 grms., is an understable disc for me. I have used it to replace my old Cobras and my Rocs. At high speed it will turn over and go left (I throw LHBH). This turn over increases with wear. It is a great approach disc and long putter. It takes the abuse very well. This disc should be in everyone's bag. Posted: 8-11-02 Submitted by Mats Nylund The Stratus does exactly what you want it to. It has no tendency to turn either way and can be controlled entirely by the angle you throw it, and is thus an ideal midrange disc. The only cons are the grip, which is pretty uncomfortable for forehand throwers, and the fact that it just doesn't go that far. It still flies well enough to be used as a driver in an emergency or on a short hole, though. Posted: 10-05-01 Submitted by Scott Miller <ksarrow@onemain.com> According to my Discraft brochure, the Stratus will fly straight at low to mid speeds and can also be turned to the right easily. It also makes a good roller. Discraft rates it 0 on their 0 to 3 scale (0 being straight and 3 being very overstable to the left). I have used this disc mostly for straight midrange shots and also long putts that are out of my main putting "safe" distance. It skips nicely if plopped down in front of the basket. I haven't had much luck with it as a roller, however. Submit Your Review Back to Main Page |
