Player Reviews Posted 11-16-05 Submitted by Elliott Hollander elliott_hollander@excite.com Disc Weights: 173 Review: By far my favorite driver. I don't know why this disc is not more popular -- I get fantastically straight drives 325' + every time. Easy to controll - it will go wherever you want it - hyzer, anhyzer, or straight as an arrow. I also like the ribbed grip for extra controll. I have thrown several different weights (168, 172, 173, 175) and the 173 works best for me. The lighter ones turn over quicker. All I have to say extra is beginners , go heavy, and get lighter ones as you develop your skill, and use the old one as a roller. Then move on to innova discs, but these are always handy to have around. Posted: 2-09-05 Submitted by James M. I totally agree with flathead...the lightning #1 driver was indespensible when i first started throwing, its consistency helped me elevate my game very quickly. the only drawback is the low quality rubber that forced me to buy a disc every other week (we played every day) ..if lightning would go to the hard smooth plastic like innova champion discs, i would probably go back to throwing the lightning driver... Posted: 07-16-01 Submitted by Flathead777@aol.com This disc helped me learn to control my release and gain much distance when I was green. It is flat and long. I love the low flight it takes and it is hard to mess up with it. The only drawback to Lightning is the plastics is not very durable and the tend to turn over after a few tree chops. Great beginner disc or precision. Submit Your Review Back to Main Page |
