Player Reviews Posted 08-22-07 Submitted by peter pichler peter.pichler@gmx.net Disc Weights: 186 Review: The Wham-O 71 Mold is an old school Putt/Approach disc. It is larger than the usual golf disc (22.50cm diameter, 3cm high), legal up to 186.75 grams, and actually looks like a small Ultimate disc. Unless brand new, it flies slow and absolutely straight (new discs are slightly over stable but become straight after some use). I use the heaviest possible weights and put quite a lot of spin in my throws. The 71 Mold is also an excellent Approach/go-for-it disc with very good control over distance. Note, however, that it becomes quite understable when beaten and should be thrown like an Ultimate disc (hyzer release) on shots longer then 30 meters. It has become difficult to get this disc, but there are some misprints still available (printed 77mold, which is a driver)... Submit Your Review Back to Main Page |
