Columbus Ohio to Des Moines, July 13 > 16, 2009

Greetings,
Some friends and I will be driving from Columbus Ohio to Des Moines and were curious as to what/where some of the favorite stops/courses were along the way.
Also, if anyone knows of any weekday gigs at any of these stops, we'd sure like to hear of them.

starting in columbus, go with a round at griggs, cincinnati(if you are running that way which would be way out of the way lol) mt airy, banklick is nice, and idlewild is supposed to be amazing though i haven't played it yet. personally if i were doing it i would stop by woodland mound but thats cause it was my home course for about 5 years and though not hugely difficult, its an entertaining and well maintained course. In peoria I would say hit mcnaughton park, eureka, morton or the Illinois central college course. Eureka and ICC are challanging for tunnel shots, mcnaughton is just fun all around, find a local and play the blue tees. Morton has some fun holes too.
