Possibly the worst disc golf course I have even seen. It appears that each hole should be teed off from a single central location so after you start in the middle and play to the first hole, you walk back to the middle and play to the next basket counter clockwise of the first. There are no directions or arrows pointing to baskets and not all are visible from the tee off area. Also because the central location is in the middle of a grass field, teeing off is essentially the same for every hole.
OTOH if you are going there to practice, you are virtually guarantied to be the only disc golfer there. There are trees around the baskets so it does offer some putt and approach value. The downside is the that the grassy areas are used by groups of kids to play soccer so some places can't be used to practice at.
My recommendation is to drive to Las Cruses, which has a desert course. http://www.pdga.com/course_directory/co ... -state-dgc
Sometime in the past month someone has gone through and remarked the course so it is better for a first timer. Very few people play this course as well, though it is the "winter" right now (59 degrees and sunny). This map will also help greatly and I wish I had found it earlier. http://www.wisudg.com/images/mapNMSU.JPG
