Home made baskets & home made course

So there's a riverbed behind my home town and it's pretty much abandoned. Technically it's gov prop but nobody cares if kids section it off and put up dirt bike ramps or play paintball. Also, it's full of garbage, tires, abandoned cars, etc.

So I was thinking about scavenging up a bunch of the junk, building home made baskets, buying a bunch of quikcrete and setting up a 9 hole 200 ft-ish per hole course. I was wondering if anybody's ever done anything like this and can comment on how much work it'd really be for three guys, how long it'd take, any other advice? I was going to hike the Appalachian Trail next summer, but I'm starting the think I'd rather do this, so I'm trying to get as much info as I can.
