Waller Park in Santa Maria, CA

Longshot here, but I'm here in Santa Maria and I'm going to play Waller Park tomorrow. The hours of operation say the park opens at 8:00 AM and I'm just wondering if any locals can tell me how strictly that's enforced, because I'd like to start playing earlier than that.

I've never been chased out and you can park on the street near holes 4 and 5 and just walk over to hole 1. Fun course but it gets rough after the front nine for a while; nothing but sand and stuff.

Watch out for pine trees.
