Does mull mean the same thing in England as it does in Australia?

Not sure what it means in Australia, but in English it means to think about, or to warm and add spice to wine.
But in this case it's a term used in Scottish names of promontories; "the Mull of Kintyre". So literally, it's 'the Isle of promontories' which is pretty accurate!
