Goin to see a buddy of mine in early august. He lives in LA> Obviously I know La Mirada and will most definitely check that out Any other decent courses within 45 mins or less???

Depends on where you're staying in LA as far as what's 45 minutes away (LA is BIG...way too big IMO). If it's feasible, I'd highly recommend checking out Lake Casitas, just outside Ventura.
