Minneapolis area ams?

Got a friend new to the Minneapolis area, looking to hook up with some area am disc golfers to play with.

Make sure he joins the MFA-Online Yahoo group. Biggest active disc golf Yahoo group on the Internet.

Also recommend he comes out for Sundog. It is a league that travels around the city playing different courses on Tuesday nights. You just show up to one and tell Timmy that you want to play and what division. Oh and you give him some money.

On a side note, my friend and I are playing Intermediate this year since it is our first year and we've only been coming the last 4 weeks now and Timmy already remembers our names. I think that really says something for not only Timmy, but I feel like it applies to the league in general. Everyone is just out to have a good time and meet more disc golfers. Oh and another couple of bonuses are:
You can flex start any week (save maybe one?) anytime between 3 pm and 5 pm.
You end up playing with better people and learn a lot.

I second the sundog post, its the best thing you can do to improve, play with better players.

unfortly I'm going to be visiting minneapolis from a wednesday thru monday so i'll miss the tuesday action. Any doubles fun?

If i only get a chance to play one course in the area, what would you recommmend? (last time i played plymouth since it is close to where i'm staying - maple grove)
