Played Pickard last weekend. What an amazing course. Two years ago I was in Des Moines, and played Ewing and Grandview. I thought they were great courses, but Pickard is even better.
Over 8000 ft long for 18, and absolutely beautiful.
Great use of hazards and trees to instill a risk/reward style of play.
Elevation, water, trees, and bomber holes...it has everything.
This is a MUST play course.

It's a long course for sure, but very beatiful. Personally, I'm partial to J&B Rolling Hills (private course) and Big Creek.

Good to know.
Next time I'm down that way I'll check out Big Creek. I've also heard good things about Walnut Ridge, so I plan to give that one a try as well.

Walnut Ridge is awesome, too. I'm embarassed to say I haven't played Big Creek yet, but I'd like to before it gets overgrown for the year if it ever stops raining.

Walnut is quality. Joe (BLURR) is from Des Moines, so I'm sure he'd be willing to show you around either.
