What's good and close to Bend, Oregon?

Late July through early August I will be in Bend Oregon, specifically Sunriver resort, with my girlfriend's family...

Any good courses I can sneak out to if I can break away from the better half? It'd have to be fairly close, since I won't have a car, and would have to rely on getting picked up/dropped off on their schedule.

There's a course in Sisters. Haven't played it, but heard it's pretty good.
