Heading to San Antonio, TX

I am going to be in San Antonio on Nov. 15th for a wedding. I plan on getting up Sunday morning on the 16th, and hitting a course before I leave town. Anyone have any suggestions on which course to play? I can only play one, because I made a deal with the wife, that if I get to play disc golf, I have to take her to the River Walk later that afternoon.

Also, my wife dosen't play, she just watches, so if anyone in the area would like to team up and play a round with me , that would be cool. I like playing new courses with someone that already knows the course.

I loved the River Walk. I was there for a conference in the mid-90's and my cheap-ass work got me a hotel room waaaayyy off to the end of the River Walk, so every day for a week I walked all the way down it to the Convention Center. There was a bus from the hotel, but I just walked it since it was so nice down there. It was in November and it was already cold in St. Louis, so just being able to get out and walk around in the great weather down there was great.

Live Oak is a good one with a good mixture of holes

Brian McClain is awesome....it's a tight, technical course, but great fun

Pearsall is the newest and is a great course as well....nice mix of open and tighter shots, lots of elevation.

Universal City is a fun course too.

I can stay anywhere in San Antonio. I get a discount at Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express, so I am looking for a good course recomendation, and I was going to find a hotel near by. I am going to be south of San Antonio for the wedding, but I am going to be spending the night in town. I was looking to play Sunday morning the 16th of November.

I looked up Live Oak , but I could not get much infomation on it. Mc Clain looks nice from what I have seen on the site. I was leaning towards that one, but what is the news on the "Pearsal course"?

McClain is awesome, my home course. Pearsall is more open with a few tight shots. Lots of elevation change. Real nice course that will only get better with age.

Well, looks like Mc Clain is where I am going. I have heard a lot about it, seen the pics, and looks like a course I want to try. Anyone up for a round on the 16th?

I had a great time in San Antonio playing Mc Clain park. Thanks to Discjay and James for showing me the course. I had a blast! I can't wait to come back.
