Postby lsf21 » Thu Apr 16, 2009 10:54 pm

No, don't go that far just for an ace race. Is there a course that's closer than 3 hours away? You could definitely set up your own ace race.

These are fun and worth the money - but not a three hour drive.

which ace race are you referring to? paducah or burlington? paducah has one on august 30th, burlington on october 24th. if these are not close enough to BG then might I suggest you run one yourself at one of the courses there. Discraft makes it easy to run one and they are a great time.

ok, there is plenty of time, maybe someone in BG will host one. Good luck!

Ace Races are a ton of fun. I like feeling like my opinion counts towards a prototype's future. The group of discers that you play with makes all the difference... if your big group of friends are doing the Ace Race and they all live 3 hours away I'd say it is totally worth it. If you don't know anyone there it might not be as worth it. Usually there are other unofficial festivities after the Ace Race that might make the offer more tempting. I wish I had done it the years they did the Meteor and the Impact... 2 ESP discs, a hat and other stuff for $25 is not bad at all.

The winner gets a huge bag full o' discs... I was lusting when the winner was going through his bag; "XL, Avenger SS, Predator, Meteor... who throws these things?" I do! Give them to me!

A couple friends and I drove about an hour and ten minutes for one. It was kinda fun, but we all came out of it pretty disappointed.
