Some nice, old wizards :D?

Those are long gone! How do you think I got those 1st Run Buzzes?????? I remember throwing 15 of them in the River at Waco back in 02-03 and now they are worth more than any other Discraft disc.

Our State Coordinator just informed me I have the TX Rep spot for USDGC and I will have to pay by Aug 2 so that would mean spending $500+ in entries and a weeks travel all at the same time and I just don't have that kind of Bank on hand.

Hey seems like a good time for a disc sale!!!!!!!!! What would anyone like me to get besides the Norms? I may even get rid of a few 1st run Buzzes.

Is that B Tier the Mid Am open? Haven't seen you up here in a few years!

Nah, Live Oak Summer Open down here in San Antonio. If I have enough cash to sign up for Worlds and USDGC with pretty much just that payout then I will be on my way to KC.

I'll be busy helping run field events on Sunday morning, but would be more than happy to show folks around the courses any other time.

So it looks like if DGR isn't well represented, we will be the only ones. 938 players. Wow. How much of the responsibility of keeping 938 people entertained falls on your shoulders, Furthur?

Not so much. I'll be helping where I can and probably doing spotting on courses throughout the week. Much of the work I've done is in preparation for the event.

I got into town yesterday, from Santa Barbara, CA. We played WaterWorks and Cliff Drive today. Waterworks was pretty cool, I liekd the rolling hills and the good mix of holes. Cliff Drive had an AWESOME front 9, with a great bunch of varied techincal holes. The back? A disappointment...just alot of bombers and wide open. Got to play the first round with Liz Carr, who is apparently pretty badass as far as Open Women go. All in all, a great first day here in KC - hopefully I can find some dank barbecue to top it all off!

Where's everyone playing tomorrow?

shoot, we're lucky if timko sticks around to even pay out the winners at tuesday swope league.

poor bastards works like 80 hours a week and probably makes around $7.50 an hour based on how much he works. he usually suckers me into doing the payouts after league's over so he can go back to work!

If anyone in town wants a tour of a particular course, let me know. Even if you're not playing it, I suggest everyone play Thornfield if possible. It has a lot of fantastic shots.
