James Conrad... he's pretty sick. Really young, too; only... 20? He's a big arm. 500' thrower I think.

James is a great kid, I used to play with him and his dad when they lived here in Colorado. Montrose Colorado took a HUGE hit in talent when they both left. He's definitely playing solid.

I probably should have mentioned that Jim is tied for 2nd place in Grandmasters! He's only 1 stroke off the lead... go Jim!

Thuggy making a move...
If the object of disc golf were to hit trees, I'd be 1100 rated.

I would love to see Avery take the title. He's always top10, mostly top5, but he never wins. Too bad he couldn't handle the pressure. Borg or Jenkins would be the best winner for the sport marketing-wise.

I've always thought that Josh Anthon is the most annoying of the top pro's together with Steve Rico.

In other news, looks like Val is poised to become a 3x World Champ. She's got a 7 stroke lead, and every round but her first of the tourney has been within one stroke of 1000 rated.

Assuming someone in the current Top 10 is going to win, I'd like to see Matt Orum or Nikko pull it out. Matt seems like a cool kid and has a couple top 3 finishes in Worlds, Nikko only to see what effect it would have on Gateway.

Those are my 2 picks as well. I met Matt a couple weeks ago at leave, and he's a super nice guy. There's no secret with the fact that Nikko is an emotional player, but so are some of the best ball golfers in history ( see Tiger Woods ). Nikko is very nice and quite talkative off of the course. Plus it would be nice to see a ( semi ) local take it home.

I'll try to set an alarm and make it out for the semis at Waterworks tomrrow.

Set the alarm and woke up, but I don't want to trudge through the wet course from the morning rain. Probably head out there in an hour

The Jenkins family claims both titles, that was fun following on Twitter for the sudden death playoff!

Also, Chuck that was a great job with Twitter, you kept it going at a good enough pace that I was frantic with the refreshing to see what was happening. Here's to hoping Worlds can get some live video coverage next year!

The challenge for a live audio direct feed had its problems this year. I just don't see it happening with live video for many years due to cost and even audience. It sounds like people enjoyed the twitpics thing this year. But if the twitpics tracking is right, there may have been only 50 people on average following it. Tying up two people and the time for prep work in advance may not be worth it. I think the simple live scoring has many more followers (100s) and only one person is required to do that. They are usually already getting paid as marshals to follow the top card so the cost to do live scoring is essentially free.

I understand that live video coverage is out of the question, but I don't get why there aren't even any clips up on youtube yet. Even if the PDGA isn't on top of it, I would think that at least one of the 1000 spectators watching the final 9 would have brought a video camera and put something on the internet. Any idea how long it will take for the DVD to be produced?
