Thought I would post some info about the 4th Annual West Texas Doubles Championship.

Sept. 22-23rd 2007
San Angelo, Texas
3 rounds of 18 or 21 @ Middle Concho Park(rounds will be 1 of worst, 1 of alternate, 1 of best, not sure the order yet)
Probably will have a final 9 at our newest course in town, Picnic Bend(which is a 9 hole course being finished up this weekend).

The club is having a meeting next week to finalize all the details, so I will post more when I have more....

Ok, we've got this all lined out last night. Here is how it's going to go.

Ams. $40

Ace Pot: $5
First 20 teams get a t-shirt at signups.

Signups are at Brentwood Park from 8am-8:45am
which is located on Howard St. and Forest Park Dr.

Players meeting at 9:15am

Teeoff at 10am

We are doing something a little different this year, which is why there is 45 minutes between the players meeting and tee off. The first day will be split between 2 courses(that are maybe 5 minutes apart), Brentwood and Picnic Bend Park(both are 9 hole courses). So some will go to each course, and play the first 9 holes as worse shot(true worst, meaning both have to make the putt), then you will play the same 9 holes again, but this time it will be best shot.

There will be a lunch break, then it will be off to which ever course you didn't play the first round, and do the same thing. First 9 worst, Second 9 Best.

Then I assume you will have to return the card to Brentwood Park, and that will end the first day. There will be CTPs during these 2 first day rounds. We have 2 Collector Edition Sparkle Squalls, the ones that DGA did the raffle with, to give away as some of the CTP prizes.

The second day will be at Middle Concho Park. This will be the final round and it will be a 27 hole round. Players meeting at 9am, teetime at 9:30. This will be 9-9-9 of worst, alt, and best. This course is usually an 18 hole course, but we have started adding 9 extra holes for our bigger tournaments(the other being the Crush on the Concho).
