i have seen a patent for "Friz Beer" and the game is stupid.
"Fris-Beer" is played as follows:
equipment:
ultimate disc
two 5-gallon buckets
two 12-oz glass beer bottles <empty>
set up the 5-gallon buckets 'exactly' 20 paces apart and put the glass bottles on top. break up all the people into 2 even teams.
throw the frisbee at the bucket and bottle to score points.
everyone on a team has to throw once before someone can throw again.
rules:
the thrower must throw from behind the bucket. if a frisbee lands short, then you can throw from that location. each team takes turns throwing.
first team to score 21 points wins.
score:
if you hit the bucket and the bottle remains standing -> 1point
if you hit the bucket and the bottle falls on its side, but remains on top of the bucket -> 2 points
if you hit the bucket and the bottle falls off the bucket -> 3 points <this is the most common>
if you hit only glass bottle -> 5 points.
if you hit perfectly and the bucket flips over and the bottle flies up in the air and lands inside the bucket -> game over you win, no matter what the score.
everyone drinks when you are scored upon.
drink for a short throw.
if your teams loses you all have to finish your beers.
if i am handing off a disc to my partner and it accidentally hits the bucket -> score those points for the other team.
if you throw the frisbee and knock over someone's beer that was sitting on the ground -> 1 point
Fris-Beer 2.0 - put a standard Die on top of each glass bottle and when the opponent knocks over the bottle, your team has to drink the number that is rolled on the die. this makes it fun because the winning team could be drinking more if they keep rolling 1's while their opponent is rolling 6's.
there are some other small quirky rules that i am forgetting im sure ... and you can create your own rules like if anyone swears, they drink or something stupid like that.
yeah ... so everyone in this forum has my permission to play.
-and if this game catches on at the vibram open i am going to create a rule that the pros have to use a roc and amateurs can use the ultimate disc.
enjoy.
