167 Star Stingray, a Christmas gift for my wife. My first try at dying, no major bleeds. I'm really excited how it came out. I definatly need more practice at cutting. I was not expecting it to be that hard. I have a much better appreciation for some of the artwork I've seen on here. Great experience and I can't wait to do another. Thanks for the instructional articles and videos. Tons of great info!

actually the night I dyed it I said " go to bed, I have to work on your present." Her reply, "You're not dyeing me a disc are you? Cause if you are I don't want it..."

When she opened it xmas morning she laughed and said she was sorry, she was only joking, she loves it.

Stealie on a clear gummy qmega. circles are hard but got the darkest black yet (more heat, more time)
May decide to paint on the red and blue later, would the colors come out transparent or opaque?

If you went back and dipped red and blue, it's be almost opaque, but an acetone mixture painted on would leave it semitransparent. Aren't clear/ice/cryztal etc discs nice to dye?

cool thanks. yeah It was cool to be able to watch for bleeds from the back side while it was in the dye. Thats why my other blacks came out dark purple, because I would get nervous and pull them out early...
