This one was great! Took a lot of time and patience but it came out clean and I'll DEFINITELY be doing this one again.

My bass player has this old skate logo on his bass strap -- he is going to flip out! He doesn't know I've dyed this for him.

Only one "bleed" -- the line on the right edge of the hand, but it wasn't really a bleed so much as the vinyl just slipped off in the pan. I pressed it down after a mid-point check, and saved it a little bit. Kinda looks like a shadow now, works for me.

I know some of you recognize this logo. My future attempts will have more detail, especially in the blood and mouth, and the fine lines. Tried some new things(first use of contact paper for masking -- thinker than vinyl but can see clearly through it so it's PERFECT for remasking).

You might also notice a "swirling" in the background -- this was NOT intentional, but it looks great and I hope I can figure out how to recreate the effect. I used Black liquid Rit, with very little water, and made sure it was mixed well, but it still swirled a bit, like the Rit and water didn't mix well.

I'll finish out the edge in black and try to get some more detail in the mouth and blood before I deliver this. Enjoy!

I think you're right Chuck --- on a closer look, the swirls continue onto the undyed white areas on the disc, so I guess it is the plastic. Still a great effect, one I had no idea was there.

The one I did for Dave was better too, much cleaner and better detail. I can't even look at that anymore without getting angry at the post office
