spray paint disc

I want to make all my disc orange and blue. All but 3 are. They are rare disc so I can't just pay 12 bucks for another one. So how can I make them orange or blue. two of them are red and one is yellow. Spray paint work IDK.

You could dye the yellow one orange, but thats about it. Spray paint will not work.

You'll want to dye the disc. Spray paint is a big fat NO. It's actually extremely easy if you know how to follow directions. Check the sticky on here for how to. Also check out youtube for tutorials if you don't understand. It's also super cheap. It's not even 2 dollars for a bag of RIT powder.

obviously you guys don't have stock in dupont. they make all sorts of paints/primers specifically for plastic. if you took the time in prep (masking, cleaning, sanding, cleaning, priming, etc.), and spent money on good paints, you could pull it off. give it a try with one you don't care about, see how it turns out man.

or, you could just use rit dyes...

o okay ill try to figure something out guys. I guess ill try to get rit dye. It will be 80$ to replace the three disc for orange and blue. might just do that. I guess ill try to dye the yellow one at least. first ill use a junk yellow one.

sanding is not illegal, unless it is excessive. Spray paint is illegal, and it would not look good. I recommend falling in love with discs that are already the color you want.

rit dye for sure, cheap an easy and would look way better than illegal spray paint.

Bah- I still disagree with everybody. Rit is not the way to go. Even if you succeed in dyeing that disc from yellow to orange, it won't be the shade you want. Choose a different battle, one you can win.

Unless, of course, that PDGA legality doesn't matter for the application, then spray away. I wonder how much added weight will come from the paint? 0.1 g? Depends upon how much you use, I suppose.

VHT makes dye in a rattle can. It is not paint layer sitting on top of the substrate, it is a true dye that soaks into the pores of the material. Anyone ever use this stuff? It definitely works on vinyls, I've never tried it on urethanes.

It comes in a few basic colors- think interior colors like neutral whites, greys, browns, and some reds, yellows and blues.
