Disc Artwork, Dying, Technique etc...

How do you get the residue of the contact paper off the disc after you take it off? i know there is goo gone, any other ways?

Usually if the goo gone doesn't take it off, which it usually works pretty well for me. I will use a one of those green scotch scrubbers for dishes that isn't too rough and run the disc under the faucet and scrub which will get the stuff off.

I used hot water and dish soap last time...came right off with a sponge. Unless the water is REALLY hot, it doesn't work too well.

Sounds strange but COLD water and good thumb pressure will ball up the glue, then you roll it off. It's similar to getting gumb out of fabric or hair. You just have to rub hard on the glue in the cold water. Do not use abrasives or cleaners, you risk ruining your work.

After every dye i usually clean the top of the disc with goo gone. and that's the glue residue off.
