DX Plastic, yes or no?

I always thought you could not dye DX plastic, but here is a copy of a discussion I got into at Stick It disc golf forums. This guy says you can dye it. What is right?

Harrumph! DX is one of the best plastics I've worked with. It withstands prolonged exposure to acetone and isopropynol and it accepts ink nicely.

I heard no on both DX and KC. Never tried it though.

I dyed my DX Rhyno and the ink took pretty well to it. Nice crisp edges and everything. BUT...the ink seems to bleed well after the dye and now I have faded edges.

If you are OK with faded edges, go ahead with DX.

PLSHRK did a dye for my on a wizard (i think it's the same kinda basic plastic) the dye itself is great but it faded pretty quickly

I tried it on a DX Rox once, and it came out REALLY faded looking...never tried it again as I read several places that it didn't dye very good. I'd be interested in knowing how that guy gets good results with DX.

I've tried DX multiple times with very poor results.It's just not wort the time.

KC fades mad fast. Great for practicing, though. I split up my one KC disc into four quadrants and practiced with little designs. Really helped me get it down.

DX is dyeable. Heat Method only, add a little bit of Acetone. Also DX Fades. Here is my DX Roc I dyed almost 3 years ago.

When I first dyed it, it was very bright and vibrant.

Yup. I stay away from dx/pro d because the results suck.
