Old School Wham-o Plastic

Postby ApesOfWrath » Thu Apr 24, 2008 6:41 pm

Does anyone know if old school wham-o plastic will accept dye. I've got a blank 70 mold that I might try putting a dye on. It's baseline plasticish, so I dont have high hopes, just looking for some insight.

i just used an ultimate lid as a dye tray and it didn't really get discolored. the dye was pretty weak though, and diluted with water.

you should do it, and post results of the attempt. More knowledge for the banks.

nah, powdered rit using water as the solvent. it was a pretty weak mix 'cos i wasn't looking for dark color. btw i looked at the lid again last night and it did pick a slight tint, though not as much as the pro plastic i was dyeing.
