Thanks to the excellent advice here on this forum and the tutorial above my first attempt was a perfect success. Here is a Star TeeRex that I dyed partly for myself and partly for my five year old, dinosaur fanatic, son.

do us a favor and post pics of that disc after 2 weeks, 4.. 12.. etc.
those lines are crisp, i'm interested to see how long they take to bleed and how they look afterwards.
