Sweety's Bag

Postby ksweetland » Mon Jul 19, 2010 1:18 pm

Here's the bag, let me know what you think. What can I add to fill gaps or what can I subtract to get rid of overlap...

Distance Drivers

Star Katana 170g (new, testing)
- heavy wind
- max D

Dx Wraith 167g (somewhat used)
- spike hyzers
- hyzer
- forehand

Dx Beast 169g (used)
- forehand
- hyzer flips

Ch Sidewinder 171g? (used)
- high turnover anhyzers
- hyzer flips
- rollers

Fairway Drivers

Dx Gazelle 175g (4yrs beat-to-hell)
- straight shots with some turnover

Mids

Z Buzzz 173g (new)
- straight to slight turnover shots
- hyzer approaches with some fade

Dx Cobra 180g (used)
- turnover/S shots
- anhyzer approach shots

Putting/Approaching/Short drives

SuperSoft Wizard 171g (new)
- main putter

HF Rubber Putter 169g (used)
- hyzer to straight approaches

I would like to add a Ch Teebird and possibly another overstable driver (Firebird or Predator)

If you are using a DX Wraith for heavy hyzers you probably don't need it, or the Katana. I'm not a big fan of the new mold Beast or the Sidewinder but if you like them keep using them. I do however suggest picking between the two and not carrying both.

the Teebird is a nice disc but you may like an Eagle X or a PD better, depending on how far you throw on average. a Firebird or Predator would also be a good addition.

the rest of your bag looks fine.

I can shoot my distance drivers over/around 350. I am just now getting use to the katana. I would like to get comfortable or more consistent with it before saying no to it. I like the wraith but mine is a DX and too light I turn it over on occasion. And I agree with you keltik I will probably drop the beast. I had an Eagle for a little while but i didn't like it, is the Eagle X much different?

it depends on what you didn't like about the Eagle you had. there are 2 Eagle molds in circulation right now; the Eagle-L and the Eagle-X. the Eagle-X has a healthy fade. but if you have enough snap it will turn a little bit before fading like a champ. if the Eagle you had was too over stable then you probably had an X. if the you one you had was too flippy you probably had an L. like I say it depends on what you didn't like.

I got both the discs I was interested in. I'm still getting use to the Predator. I'm also debating getting a different plastic teebird or possibly a PD to compare the two. I also got rid of the wraith, beast, and rubber putter all of which i didn't use too much. I like the look of my new bag...

Overstable Driver

Z Predator 173g (new)

Fairway/Control Drivers

I added a SSS Magic, which i love, It opens up anhyzer puts. And I found an ESP Storm and I love it, It's perfectly in between my Teebird and Buzzz. I'm starting to wonder if I have too many mid range discs though...what do you think?
