LOVE switching my bag around the past couple years especially. I finally think that I am happy with everything, but we shall see. Figured I might as well hear what you cats have to say..


Vitals:
couple years of ultimate, going on my 10th year of DG
mostly RHBH, solid FH/OH when appropriate
average: ion - 260+/300+, vector 300/360+, flow 360/400+ (best ever was like 440, not measured)

Optional:
22
male
no injuries
other sport proficiencies: baseball, ultimate, soccer(legs/fluency)

Bag:

Drivers:
174 Opto Flow (pretty new) - main/distance driver
174 GL Flow (seasoned) - less stable opto...HUGE D
175 GL XXX (pretty new) - overstable/utility etc...beating in to make room for an opto
173 GL River (slightly seasoned) - control driver, beating for understability reasons/adding an opto
172 DX Banshee (pretty beat) - my "baseline plastic river" >> stretching low power shots, rollers, quick turning OH shots, etc.
*most likely adding a champ banshee back in, for not-so-crazy overstable shots/fairway duties...

Mids:
174 Proton Vector (pretty new) - semi overstable line shaper
180 Proton Axis (pretty new) - workhorse? hmmm . . . (giving it a bit longer, if not im back to buzzz')
175 Champ Cobra (seasoned, not beat) - hyzerflipping/shorter rollers/low speed "S"/understable shhhtuff
178 DX ontario Cobra (seasoned) - ^^^that but more beat

Putters:
175 soft Ion (pretty new) - main putter [cold seasons, i plan on rockin medium when its warm again]
175 Pro-D Zone (seasoned) - lowspeed overstable, beating into super straight
174 ESP Zone (pretty new) - fast putter/slow mid overstable slot


An Opto xXx and an Opto River will be added, once some plastic beats in a little...a Champ Banshee most likely as well. I'm looking at 9 molds and feel everything is pretty solid at this point. Any thoughts? Thanks!

learn to control the fuse and use it for most of your midrange shots, then choose either the drone or the vector as a more stable compliment to it.

yea everyone on the face of the DG planet has been trying to tell me just that, but i cant lol. tried taking one or the other out for 5 or so rounds each, and everytime i had wished that the other was there too. im really considering throwing whippets and tossin out banshees/drones - thats my next "experiment"

thats the thing, you will miss them at first but as you learn to manipulate the fuse you will feel more confident with it. the fuse, like the comet, is a very neutral disc that can be controlled to do many different things. the fuse paired with a vector or wasp would be a perfect combo. give it another shot and you will be amazed at the confidence it builds having a disc that can do many different things like that.

i tried kicking the drone and the banshee for the whippet, but it just isnt happening. by adding the zone though i feel comfortable enough to go banshee(s)/zone(s) and vector too sometimes as opposed to rhyno(s)/drone/vector/banshee(s). the thing about the vector though is it has such forward penetration due to the gyro effect that there is fairly little lateral movement, but the zone/banshee can power up/down to easily cover what the drone did for me for years - knocking the rhyno out in the process.

im tired and dont feel like typing more now but my bag has been changed more times then i edited it (not that ive been posting it for long), and think that i have finally settled on a bag. now to reach around 3 of each disc in different stages of wear . . .
