SS warlock - 172, crazy beat, flippy. I want a 1080 to replace this.


I really like disc minimalism and feel really bad that I use a spirit and a Firebird as overstable stuff but the FX has been my thumber disc forever. It it totally a confort thing for me.

Also I want to work the Magic into my bag full time because I love it when I throw it but when I do put it in I never use it as much as the warlock because I find its turn much less predictable. I do love how you can throw it with a lot less power to get the turn on it though.

Surges are also starting to compete for the distance role over the SOLF but I love how the SOLF acts like a longer Eagle.

bag set-up looks nice. i'm just not a big fan of carrying so many mids and putters. maybe it's because i don't have them in different stages of ware but i can do anything with just two rocs and a wizard.

I do think that I carry too many mids and putters. Out of all the rocs I usually only use 2 or 3 in a round and I usually only pull out 2 of my wizards. I think I might make a smaller bag with just a 2 of each and see how it goes.

It sounds like you already realize there's a lot of overlap between these two. If you're more comfortable with the FX then keep using it. The OLFs should handle moderately overstable stuff well enough.

I don't think you have too many Rocs or Wizards. What's the worst that could happen if you threw the wrong one? You end up a few feet away from the optimal landing spot?

yeah I throw the spirit for more shots than the firebird, which has really just become a utility disc that only gets thrown for thumbers. I've been keeping it in there because the spirit flips too quickly when I throw it overhand since it is beat in real nicely and the firebird is really the best thumber disc ever.

Got the Voodoos from Gateway, somehow I got on their autoship list. I putted with the Voodoos in the back yard today. They preform just like every other putter from 30' in and from farther out they have some good glide. I like them for jump putts. I am getting out to the course tomorrow to put them through the paces and really see what they are all about.
