Pontificate a pedantic polemic about my bag #2

Postby Triplebogey » Mon Jun 16, 2008 12:27 am

Right now, I've got

Champ Firebird 175gr
Champ Starfire 175g
Star SL 167gr

Star TeeBird 175gr
Champ TeeBird 170gr
DX TeeBird 175gr
Champ Leopard 165gr
Pro Leopard 152gr
#2 Driver 171gr (Water Hazards)

D Drone 178gr
Star Cro 172gr
DX Kite 170gr

ESP Banger GT 175gr
ProD Banger GT 175gr
Soft Banger GT 171gr
DX Aero 150gr

The Firebird and Drone are headwind discs,
the Pro Leopard and 150 Aero are tailwind discs.

The Teebird, Leopard, Cro and Banger GT are my workhorses for 75% of my shots.

What kind of shots do you use the 150 Aero for? You have it listed as a tailwind disc, which makes sense. Just curious about the distance range you find it useful for, and the lines you take with it. I had an Aero once that I found on the course, but I didn't throw it enough for it to find a place in my bag before giving it away to a new player.

I use it for putting with strong tailwinds (above 15 mph), but my favirite use is for downhill drives and approaches. It perfect for shots like hole #10 in Santa Barbara (Goleta) Where the tee is at the top of a hill, and the basket is 3/4 the way down the hill. If you go too far, you you slide off a bank and end up in a 10 ft deep ditch. The Aero just gently floats down that hill, and doesn't slide more that 10ft after it hits the ground. Hole #9 in La Mirada is simillar.

Bump

updated my bag.

I've been thinking on trading the Max for a Monster, Firebird or Predator.
