Need help with an overstable driver.

The overstable driver slot in my bag has always been empty as most of my courses are deep in the woods and not really windy. Since moving to the desert the courses here are often quite windy. I've tried and x and z avenger but never had much luck with them, don't think I have enough power to be consistent with them. I'm looking for something a bit slower than an Avenger. Any ideas?

Just to get an idea of my throwing style here's my current bag.

A heavy Champion Eagle X could fit your setup nicely.

Or maybe a Z-Crush, these are really nice. I'd experiment with something a bit faster than your regular drivers as it will penetrate the wind better (in addition to holding up stability wise).

You read my mind, whippet was my first though but I'd like something a little faster.
blaze and firebird were next. I believe my local shop has lots of firebirds so I imagine I'll end up with one of those. Unless the blaze feels nicer in my hand.

You might want to try a S Demon. It simular to a whippet but it comes in the same grippy plastic as chalky Wizard, Warlock and Magics.

I don't know that the Blaze is faster than the Whippet. I'd say Firebird or Banshee with the Banshee falling into the speed category you're describing the best.

LOL, when I asked this very question everyone said SOLF and Pred. Perhaps there is more of a a power/distance difference between us and thus the different recommendations.

Well, the fastest thing in his bag is a JLS. those are about speed 7 on the Innova scale.

I recommend a DX Banshee.

Right but no one said anything about the SOLF and Pred being TOO fast to me. It was explained that if I had decent D go with OLF/Pred if I was more average D go Banshee. I'm not complaining here, just making an observation for the sake of gathering more info.
