I've been using this same set up for about 3 years now. Lately I've been wondering if my control driver and my max d driver are too similar and and I should be throwing a longer max d driver. It seems like 90% of the time I need a driver I grab a gazelle. I find I can throw it nearly as far as my JLS and it's more controllable. So that's got me wondering about the possible overlap and maybe there is something better for my max d spot.
Headwind: Dx Firebird
Max D driver: JLS
Control Driver: Gazelle
Mid: Roc
Putter: Wizard

I'd try to pick one, and audition a Valkyrie for max D
Predator | Boss | Teebird | Drone | Buzzz | Aviar

With a rig like that I would definitely consider a Valkyrie for max D. My bag is pretty similar (substitute Eagle X for Gazelle and Predator for Firebird and you have my bag), and I go to Star Valks for max D and DX Valks for long rollers.

I used valks in the past but found them very inconsistent. Maybe I wasn't making enough power at the time.

Another Max D you might want to try is the Orion LS in the base Millenium plastic. Try one in the mid 160s, that should bomb pretty far for you.
