I'm tossing a wizard up towards the ridge, maybe 190'. The disc did go straight though.
I think I'm not pulling the disc close enough to my chest
What do you think?

your coming in close but not releasing out in front of you. you are bringing the disc close to behind your left pec but releasing from there while you should be coming in tight and get inside your right pec and then turn your shoulders and release from your chest.

Dan, how can I correct this? What should my throught process be to avoid grip locking the piss out of it?

Get your elbow out more. You have to re-focus your timing after working on extending your elbow to not drive it over to the right.
