Driving

Postby bullet » Wed Aug 18, 2010 8:29 am

So here's my vid. These are field practice throws and all the throws were about 400-420ft. I can get it little farther on good throws, about 450ft.
(if needed but it will lose some accuracy on those shots.)

Can anyone see anything that I could improve in my form to get more distance?

The final step is so long that you don't get enough weight forward. If you pushed hard with the left leg so that the knee would be straight you'd get more weight forward and more speed. Heart and right knee equally far from the target at the disc release please. You don't move the hips they should explosively turn right of neutral position. You could get the disc closer to the chest. You start to pull too fast too early with the arm. You can get the right elbow farther away from the right side before straightening the elbow.
Flat shots need running on the center line of the tee and planting each step on the center line. Anhyzer needs running from rear right to front left with the plant step hitting the ground to the left of the line you're running on. Hyzer is the mirror of that.
