How will the round rating work on a course like Castle Rock. Obviously I haven't played it yet, but it is supposed to be a bunch (7?) of 9 hole loops. For tourneys they could play, in theory, any of the loops. So you could end up playing loops, 1, 3 and 5 first round and 1,2 and 6 the second round. I assume the tourney director won't submit each loops score, rather just the 27 hole round.

Yes. I suspect (hope) that certain 18 and 27 hole combinations would get a name so they could be tracked in the PDGA SSA stats over the years.
