ratings anticompression & compression

http://www.pdga.com/tournament_results/78408 I assume the ratings are preliminary because the round was played yesterday. See how a one throw difference was either 6 or 7 ratings points going down from the leader and alternating between the two numbers? Why does that happen?

It was a par 69 21 hole course with an SSA of over 71 for that round. There were 8 1000 or higher rated players out of whom one played under par. Only 4 players went under par and two were at par out of quickly browsed 103 open players. And out of those six players at par or better one was rated 1002 and the rest under 1000.
Flat shots need running on the center line of the tee and planting each step on the center line. Anhyzer needs running from rear right to front left with the plant step hitting the ground to the left of the line you're running on. Hyzer is the mirror of that.

The amount of points for each throw is rarely an integer. In this case, it's a number between 6 and 7. Look at the ratings for scores 10 shots apart, subtract them and divide by 10 to see how many points per throw.

Ok thanks for the info. Ten shots down from the leader is exactly 65 ratings points so that is 6.5 points per shot for that round.
