So I've been thinking a lot about improving my backhand drives. Today I decided to focus mostly on my release and not my pull. What I was trying to do was focus on not the disc ripping from my grip but swinging the disc around the grip lock of my index finger and thumb. My drives were straighter and added at least 50' of distance. I also got my first ace today throwing like this on a ~375' hole. For me going for the feel of the swing rather than the pull helped me accelerate into the release a lot easier then thinking about my pull into the release. Is this basically what the basic concept is and I've just been missing it?

Thanks, I feel like I'm making a breakthrough on my throw. If I can work the rest of my grip into this motion I'm getting I feel like my backhand drives will at least reach the length of my FH drives.
