For hyzers or anhyzers are you changing posture at the waist, or rotating your forearm?
should be a change in the orientation of the shoulders.
waist bend is a biproduct of this.

I tried this out last night and have to say the discs were coming out faster. I still have a lot of things to work on but this has helped me out.

I messed around a little bit in the house last night just holding some discs in my hand and it felt like the wing of the disc kept sliding back to the other position you show in the third pic (which is how I usually hold the disc). I will have to actually try to throw a few but it did feel less secure in my hand. Maybe I am putting to much pressure on with my ring/pinkie stack?

leverage in motion is stronger than at rest.

Absolutely, my years of study in judo confirm this. I was a bit hesitant to comment yet without the field work. One additional question, is this particular orientation more favorable for a power grip as opposed to a fork? It did feel a bit more stable when I held a traditional power grip.

it's always going to feel kind of unstable as you are ramming the disc into the main spot that is trying to eject it.

Me too. Are we deformed? I have average size hands, but using this grip I can't get my 4th pinky into the rim. Any suggestions?

dogma:
adjust the disc in your hand so that you are curling into/onto the rim.
your index finger is barely on the rim and your wrist is rotated clockwise.
your palm/hand should be closer to perpendicular to the ground in that top picture. it doesn't look like you are thumb forward

Blake,
Would a fork grip with this seam position be counterproductive?

Looking for this answer as well. Also, I tried having the disc go into that place on my hand while playing today and I don't know if I don't have enough hand fat or what but the disc just keeps slipping down to the hand crack in the middle where it naturally folds. Also, I tried this with the ken climo grip for the most part and had one throw with a standard power grip. I had a lot of throws that I threw extremely high in the air (nose up) but I felt like I was getting better snap on them than my typical throw. Who knows.
