Bingo! That's what everyone means when they say "nose down." It's nose down in relation to your arm, the trajectory of the throw and the plane your arm moves on when you throw. It doesn't actually have anything to do with the ground.

Thank you very much for clarifying that for me.
Is there then a difference in flight patterns/distance that can be achieved with the disc being nose down on low(er) throws compared to higher throws. I would assume that the flights have different aerodynamic properties?
