I have been focusing a lot lately on developing more snap as I have maxed out my other distance opportunities (or so I think).
I'm still in the processing of feeling and "getting snap" so I have been doing a lot of practicing without the disk as per Blake's article on distance drilling: increasing your distance from the ground up.
I have come to the point where I can get a large amount of snap when I just stand and do a full reach back (with a slightly bent elbow) and pull my stroke.
The trouble that I'm currently having is occuring when I attemp to integrate my x-step into my no disk snap practice. When I do this I get no snap a good majority of the time and a small amount the other 10% of the time or so. Is this mainly a timing issue that will work out with more practice or is there something I should be focusing on when integrating the x-step? Any recommendations?
