180+degree, nosedown/right Knife hyzer?

Where would it go? To the right? Straight up and down? What way would it fade? Towards 180 or away from 180? Imagining this shot slightly boggles my mind, and spikes my curiosity even more.

I'm guessing it would still spike about the same upwards, flip slightly, and have a flatter descent...maybe causing it to sail further out left? That's my guess.

I've flipped up some steep hyzers with some unintentional off axis torque or by not flicking my wrist enough, and that's about how they go.

I'm guessing you mean 90 degrees. 180 degrees would be throwing a disc upside down. If it indeed in verticle but nosedown, then as long as it's a overstable disc (Firebird, Speed Demon) it will go straight up, and straight down.

I think ive heard this called a 'skammahawk' or something along those lines. Someone on the board here throws them, im sure they will be around soon enough to explain them..

i haven't thrown a skamahawk before but the idea makes sense. the disc ends up getting released the same orientation as a thumber and spinning in the same direction as a thumber... essentially on a super extreme backhand anhyzer line.

i assume it flies like a thumber but it doesn't make it all the way around... it just flips upside down and glides to the ground, like a pancake.

pancake is a tomohawk that only flips half way and lands upside down.
hope i didn't lose anyone there.

not sure when the skamahawk can reach things a thumber or tomohawk can't, though...

If it's a flippier disc, it will corkscrew so that it goes upside down and possibly helix more. Think of a tomahawk with an Epic that's tuned to be very flippy...

and skamahawks are inverted (thumb on bottom of disc) a grenade is thrown more like a hyzer at 90 degrees but also inverted. (btw, I am probably the one mentioned who uses skamahawks, I use them for right to left w/ more up and down than a knife hyzer, if you throw one straight up you can clear a 40' tree feet infont of you, then the disc dies off left)

If you actually stop and look at the video and break it down frame by frame. Brian is gripping the disc normally (not inverted). So is this a skamahawk or not? Just curious

hes the one who made the shot isnt he, so I would say thats the real thing, and I throw inverted anhyzer grenades ;-)
