I don't know if that's the proper name for them but it's what I've always called them, the low top trail shoes, between a normal shoe and a a hiking boot in ankle height.
Anyway, to the question, has anyone ever played disc golf in these?
I was thinking the little bit of added ankle support may be nice for roots, angled lies and other foot hazards on the course.

They're called Mid Tops. I've been using Mids for a while. Just got in a fresh pair of Salomon XA Pro 3d Mids. They work nicely for me especially since my ankles are completely shot. Killed them at OG a few years ago.

Salomon GTX Mid's are top notch. I picked up a pair back in February. Fairly lightweight for a mid and tough as nails. I have played 4 rounds in a day with these before and my feet didn't hurt a bit at the end of the day.
If the object of disc golf were to hit trees, I'd be 1100 rated.
