I have a North face visor beanie (jeep hat) from last season. The brim and rolled up edges are knit, but the main part that covers your head is a stitched gore-tex synthetic with a satin liner inside. Super comfortable and super warm. It seems they don't have it this season, which is a shame.

Coal, a snowbaord company, makes a nice visor radar hat:

Turns out I've just been pulling the knit cap over my ball cap. The old cap brim is now my sacrificial soaker in heavy snow, while the layered knit cap keeps the wet melt and wind out. Bought nothing new, works great if you have a cloth ball cap with cloth back strap (no damn plastic) to fit gracefully under the dome.

I liked the idea of a brim to help shield my eyes from the sun. I keep finding myself reaching for my cap brim when wearing the beanie. It's not as big on those all in one units though.

Buy this: http://www.rei.com/product/772087

Everest hat's are the warmest and best I've ever had. Can't go wrong And they're on sale. Full fleece lining top to bottom, not just around the ears.
The only disc I throw well consistently is my lucky Wizard.

Nice stuff; I just use the same visor I use in the summer, and put my warm winter hat on. Works great, no $ as I had the gear.

Yeah, so that is a good idea - I'm gonna have to give it a shot.
