Yesterday was my first day back throwing and my form was horrible. I was shortarming everything....and couldnt get a seasoned TL to flip from hyzer....
I woke up this morning and my right hip is quite sore.....i dont know it was from internal/external rotation of my socket, abduction/adduction of my socket, or flexion/extension of my socket. Regardless....i'm hurting today and advil did me no good.
when i'm walking...its not too bad....but when i get up from sitting down....yea....ouch!

if you were doing some serious hip pivots, then you probably stressed those muscles around your hip.
Try soaking in a tub with epsom salt for 20 minutes - nice and hot. Did me a world of good.

Stretch those hip flexors. Im not 20 anymore and when I throw well or a lot my hip gets tight and pretty sore, so I try to stretch it as much as possible

....recalled from the lagoon of stagnant posts...
So i went to the Dr a while back and got some testing and what not...
Conclusion...my hip sockets arent big enuff for my femur ball....
Since I have a large frame...they gave me some stretches.....and some friendly advice....2 aleve goes a long way.
There really isnt much I can do aside from correcting my posture...which isnt too bad as it is. However, there is always room for improvement.
2 Aleve...which help ease any pain and slight imflamation.
I can say that stretching has made the Aleve not needed.
