All the double comps I've played have been best shot.
Both players tee off, then you choose which lie to play from. Then both shoot from that lie, and you choose which lie to play from. So on and so on...
Score for hole is number of lies + hole out, not total shots.
Strategies...when your partner parks a shot, you forget about any consiquenses and make a run for that basket no matter how far out you are. Who knows, that .0001% chance will show up one day.
Hrm, you may know your partner (I've only played in random draws) and one of you may be a better putter/upshooter/driver than the other. Let the better go first and then the second can make the runs.
